Week of 9/28
This week we will not have a spelling test. :) Don't forget your permission slip and $7.00 for our field trip.
We will be moving on in social studies this week to western expansion in the United States. Our Reading class will go hand in hand with Social Studies. I'll be reading a book with you that I'm sure you will enjoy. Which Way to The Wild West by, Steve Sheinkin. Check my blog for updates on sites. Here are a few to get you started.
http://www2.lhric.org/pocantico/westward_expansion/westward_expansion.htm. Check the guide links to the left when you get to this site.
http://www.american-historama.org/1841-1850-westward-expansion/westward-expansion.htm.
I like this one because it has a good timeline, but there are many advertisements. Please do not click on any ads. Do click on any links in blue on the timeline, and it will take you to a whole site just on that subject.
This last one just lets you know about the book I'll be reading.
