Civl War Final TEST

CIVIL WAR FINAL

I have been telling you for weeks that the final test will be at the end of this month. It is set for Friday the 26th. We will use next week to review for the test. Make sure to use the Horizons text book I gave you to study. It is a great resource. You need to know the information between pages 91- 137. Each lesson has a review, and there is a unit review on page 136-137. I will be adding the text's test to my own teacher made test, so the reviews will help you greatly.
All notes from class, Two Miserable Presidents, and videos we have watched are up for grabs. For example; the statehood of West Virginia is not included in the text or Two Miserable Presidents, but it will be on the test from the video we watched.
Next week, as we review, please pay attention, and take notes every time I say, "This question, or one like it will probably be on the test." I have practically given you almost every test question in class. I remember specifically telling you to make a section in your notes for test questions, and I have asked you to write down possible test question in class as we learned or reviewed information in the section you made.
It may be in your best interest to form a study group by sharing the notes you have taken with each other, using the text book, and coming up with your own possible questions...basically what we will be doing in class only at home.
We will also watch America the Story of Us from the History Channel, you can double watch it at home if you have access to the History Channel, but most sections are also at... http://www.history.com/search?q=civil%20war All the Civil War sites I have added on this blog will likely help you as well.
I will not give any homework next week, and there will not be a spelling quiz, so you have plenty of time to study.
This test is worth 150 points. Please do what you need to do to get the highest possible grade. :)

Spelling Quiz 2-23

We will not have a quiz this Monday. There were too many events and missing mornings this week. We may not have a quiz next week, due to the final for the Civil War test on Friday. I want you to have as much time to devote to studying as possible.

Unexpected Giving

I would have never expected that when I told Lexi she could make a box for her snack change of .75 cents as a funds starter, you would end up raising over 239.00 in less than one week! I am completely blown away by the giving nature of my wonderful students!  A suggestion was made to give what was raised to the Alzheimer's Association. This is their appreciation letter after I sent the amount in...

Your donation allows us to continue the fight against Alzheimer's disease through vital research and essential care and support programs and services.
As a friend of the Alzheimer's Association, did you know you can make an impact and continue the fight against this disease throughout the year? You'll find giving a monthly donation is an ideal way to support the cause. You'll be able to make regular, repeated donations that fit into your budget and provide help and hope to all affected each and every month.
Benefits of becoming a monthly donor:
  • It's easy — your donation is charged to your credit card automatically each month and can be cancelled at any time.
  • It's productive — monthly giving reduces the need for regular, costly fundraising appeals, so your money goes even further.
  • Makes a sustained difference — recurring donations help ensure that much-needed services are available to those living with Alzheimer's disease and their families.
Please consider becoming a monthly donor today.
Thank you for your continued support!
Sincerely,
